Kansas City, KS (Sports Network) - A Jimmy Conrad goal in the second minute of stoppage time helped the Kansas City Wizards squeak out a 1-1 draw with FC Dallas at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Major League Soccer action on Saturday night.
With his team down 1-0 in the 92nd minute, Conrad took a pass in the box and muscled it past Hoops goalkeeper Dario Sala.
"Any time you are down in a game and you can salvage a point it feels like a small victory," Conrad said after the game.
"I think we are trying to score the perfect goal instead of just trying to muscle it in like I did at the end."
FC Dallas got the game's first goal just seven minutes in when Andre Rocha took a pass from Dax McCarty and fired a 40-yard blast into the top corner past Wizards 'keeper Kevin Hartman. It was Rocha's first goal of the season.
The Hoops chances at hanging onto that lead took a blow when midfielder Pablo Ricchetti was booked for his second yellow in the 62nd minute, forcing the visitors to play a man down the rest of the game.
With the point, the Wizards were able to keep pace with Toronto FC and now sit tied at the bottom of the Eastern Conference table with 26 points after 21 fixtures.
"We have nine games left so we have had enough screwing around here now," Conrad said.
Dallas (6-7-8) stays in third in the West with the point, six points back of Houston, which plays at New York on Sunday.
The Wizards play at San Jose next Saturday in their next league fixture while Dallas hosts Columbus later the same day.
