MLS Game Summary - Houston at Dallas

Final Score: Houston 2 - FC Dallas 2

Frisco, TX (Sports Network) - Dwayne De Rosario scored three minutes into stoppage time to salvage a 2-2 draw for the Houston Dynamo against FC Dallas at Pizza Hut Park on Wednesday.

Drew Moor broke a 1-1 deadlock in the 69th minute to give Dallas a 2-1 lead, but after both Andre Rocha and Eddie Robinson were sent off with 10 minutes to play, leaving both teams with 10 men, De Rosario tallied his third goal of the year on a rebound to force a share of the points.

Kenny Cooper scored a great goal to put Dallas up 1-0 at halftime, but Corey Ashe equalized in the second half for Houston, which came from behind for the second time this season to earn a draw against the Hoops.

Cooper caused problems for the Houston defense throughout the first half, setting up a good chance for Marcelo Saragosa before getting his team on the scoreboard 10 minutes before the break.

The big striker first took possession of the ball on the left wing and carried it towards the end line. He then drove a cross through the face of goal that took a slight deflection off Houston defender Craig Waibel before arriving on the foot of Saragosa at the back post. Saragosa had goalkeeper Pat Onstad at his mercy, but he put the ball over the net.

After De Rosario put a free kick over the crossbar from 35 yards, Pablo Ricchetti found Cooper with a long ball from the back that allowed the Hoops to take the lead.

Cooper's first touch put the ball inside the box into space, beating Waibel and allowing him room to curl a brilliant shot past Onstad and inside the far post.

It was a great effort from the Dallas striker, but Houston put together a spell of pressure at the end of the half that nearly leveled the match.

Richard Mulrooney put a long-range shot on target that forced a diving stop from Dallas keeper Dario Sala, and the ensuing corner kick also provided a dangerous chance.

The cross was sent into the middle of the box and flicked on towards the back post by Geoff Cameron. Robinson was in a perfect position to slam it home from a few yards, but he struck the bouncing ball over the top.

Cooper ripped a hard shot just wide of the post in first-half stoppage time, but the Dynamo got back on level terms in the second half.

De Rosario lobbed a ball into the box for Brian Ching, who took it down off his chest and carried it towards the front of goal. Ching then laid it off to Ashe and he drilled it into the bottom left corner to even the score.

It took Dallas just 10 minutes to surge back ahead as Rocha's corner kick was met by the head of Moor in the middle of box, sending the ball past Onstad and inside the right post.

De Rosario tried to pull his team back level again in the 75th minute when he took on two defenders and fired a shot from outside the box that forced a diving save from Sala, but both teams were reduced to 10 men when both Robinson and Rocha were sent off.

Dallas could have added a third goal with Abe Thompson and Arturo Alvarez testing Onstad, but he kept his team within a goal, allowing De Rosario to equalize deep into stoppage time.

Ashe crossed from the right for Ching, who headed the ball off the crossbar, but the rebound fell right into the path of De Rosario, who slammed it home to grab a share of the points for his side.
