Chivas USA (8-10-6) at Real Salt Lake (8-9-7), 9 p.m.
Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Real Salt Lake plays its last Major League Soccer game at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday night when it hosts Chivas USA.
The game is big for both clubs because they are currently separated by just one point in the Western Conference table.
RSL (8-9-7) currently holds the second spot in the west while Chivas (8-10-6) is tied with Colorado for third. The home side is on a two-game winless streak, but those were both on the road and RSL has been a different club at home this season.
A win is imperative, however, because RSL will hit the road for two games before returning for the opening of their new stadium in Sandy, Utah, against New York on Oct. 9.
Chivas USA has won two of three but is coming off a 4-0 loss at New England.
"Going against Salt Lake, we know they're playing well right now," Chivas midfielder Carey tally said. "We've been watching them quite a bit lately. Right now they're ahead of us and we know that's a big game coming up when we go there, so I think we know how to prepare for this game. We've got another game on turf where it's difficult to play but the last two games have been on turf, we got a result on it the first time, but the second time it didn't go our way. We've got to make sure the third one does."
RSL will be without Tony Beltran, Fabian Espindola and Dema Kovalenko because of injuries while Chivas will be without Maykel Galindo, Zach Thornton, Lawson Vaughn and Raphael Wicky.
