Columbus (6-2-1) at Chivas USA (3-4-2), 10:30 p.m.

Carson, CA (Sports Network) - The Columbus Crew travel to Chivas USA on Saturday night for a Major League Soccer match at The Home Depot Center looking to end a two-game winless streak while the Goats will be looking for their third straight league victory.

The Crew, which had their six-game unbeaten run halted last week in a loss to New England, are tied with Chicago for second in the Eastern Conference ahead of the weekend fixtures. Both Chicago and Columbus have two games in hand on the Revolution, however.

Chivas USA is right in the middle of the Western table, but seems to be rebounding from a slow start to the season that was hampered by injuries.

Saturday will be the second meeting between the clubs this season Columbus winning 4-3 at home about six weeks ago.

Chivas USA is coming off a 2-1 victory at Colorado in its last MLS fixture which knocked the Rapids out of the top spot in the West.

"I thought the overall performance of the whole team was pretty good; we knew what we wanted to get here and we got it," Preki said. "We've got good momentum right now and hopefully [Saturday night] against Columbus we can get another three points and get on top of the division."

The Goats are still shorthanded because of injuries, however, they seem to be dealing with the situation better recently. Still out are defenders Jonathan Bornstein, Lawson Vaughn and Alex Zotinca, midfielder Raphael Wicky and forwards Alecko Eskandarian and Maykel Galindo, with various injuries.

The Crew are coming off just their second loss of the season last week, 1-0, at home. A rebound on a penalty kick was the difference in the game.

"Sometimes that's the way it goes in soccer," Crew coach Sigi Schmid said. "I thought we played fairly well when you look at our ability to possess the ball. We moved the ball forward. We were the better team in the first half and I thought we were the better team in the second half. There was a period of time right before the penalty where, for some reason, we couldn't get the ball out of the back. I can't fault our guys for our effort."

If the Crew are going to get back in the win column, they are going to need to find their offense after being shut out in back-to-back games.

"We'd be concerned if we weren't creating chances, if we were getting outplayed, but this a good team that came here from New England; it's a pretty solid team, a pretty experienced team," forward Alejandro Moreno said. "We were creating chances; we had a good rhythm to the game at times in the second half and at times in the first half, and it just wasn't meant to be. Now there have been times this season where we haven't played as well and we've been able to get a result, so it's just how the season goes."
