MLS Preview from The Sports Network

D.C. United (2-3-0) at Colorado (2-3-0), 3 p.m.

Commerce City, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rapids will look to break a two-game losing streak when they host D.C. United at Dicks Sporting Goods Park in a Major League Soccer clash on Sunday afternoon.

The Rapids are coming off a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Chicago Fire in their last league fixture.

"It was a good game except for 10 minutes when we let down," Rapids coach Fernando Clavijo said. "They took advantage of our mistakes and finished. I feel we deserved a little bit better. We had the game in hand, but the 10 to 15 minutes we let down transpired and they took advantage."

United is coming off a strong win over Real Salt Lake which snapped it's own two-game losing streak.

"I think it's important to get the result, but we still have to be hard on ourselves and know that, on the day, I don't think the soccer was good enough, especially in the first half," D.C. coach Tom Soehn said. "I thought the effort was there, but we still have some things to work on. But winning is a habit and if you get a result, it's important right now for us."

The Rapids are hopeful of a strong performance at home, with their last home fixture being a loss to the expansion San Jose Earthquakes. Colorado is the only team in which the Earthquakes have been able to score on this season.

D.C. on the other hand will look to keep its winning streak going to snap out of its early season doldrums.

"We haven't had quality (training) sessions and you fall into bad habits, similar to last year," Soehn said. "I still look back to last year and it took us a couple of weeks, even though we got results, it took us a couple to get to form ... We're still not where we need to be. We're going to work darn hard to make sure that we're going to clean up some of those things."
