Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Evgeni Malkin scored a pair of goals and added an assist to join the 100-point club and the Pittsburgh Penguins leapt over the New Jersey Devils for first place in the Atlantic Division with a 7-1 win at Mellon Arena.
Ryan Malone scored a pair of goals while Petr Sykora added a goal and two assists for the Penguins, who won for the fifth time in their last six games.

"When you play against a team like the Devils, that can play really well defensively like they do, you don't expect a third period like we had tonight, said Pittsburgh coach Michel Therrien. "They played last night so fatigue may have been a factor.I am really excited about scoring seven goals against a team like this."
Brian Gionta scored the lone goal while Martin Brodeur was charged with four goals on 19 shots before being lifted in the third period for the Devils, who have dropped their last three games and with 91 points sit two ahead of Ottawa for fourth place in the conference.

These teams will meet again in New Jersey on Tuesday.
