NHL Game Summary - Calgary at Anaheim

Final Score: Calgary 2 - Anaheim 4

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Ryan Getzlaf registered a goal and an assist, and Teemu Selanne became Anaheim's all-time points leader, as the Ducks doubled up the Calgary Flames, 4-2, at Honda Center.

Selanne had an assist, giving him 670 points, moving ahead of Paul Kariya.

Chris Pronger also posted a goal and an assist for the Ducks, who improved to 1-1-0 on their current seven-game homestand that continues Wednesday against Colorado. Ryan Carter and Scott Niedermayer also tallied, and Chris Kunitz collected two helpers. Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 23 saves to earn his 26th win of the season.

"Your special teams need to respond," said Niedermayer. "We need to get that going, get the power play rolling a bit."

Daymond Langkow and Wayne Primeau scored for the Flames, who fell to 1-2-0 on their current five-game road swing that will continue in Phoenix on Tuesday. Miikka Kiprusoff allowed four goals on 26 shots before he was replaced by Curtis Joseph at the start of the third. Joseph, making only his second appearance of the season, made 10 saves in relief.

Trailing 1-0 after the first period, Anaheim exploded for four unanswered goals in the second period.

Getzlaf snapped a wrister from the high slot off the near post to tie the game 17 seconds into the frame.

History was made on the Ducks' second goal. Selanne threaded a tape-to-tape pass to Carter streaking down the middle, who then slid the puck between the legs of Kiprusoff at 4:36. With the primary assist, Selanne became the franchise's all-time points leader.

Then Anaheim's power play took over, netting the last two goals. First, Niedermayer fired a pin-point wrister from the left circle at the 6:50 mark and Pronger rifled a low slapshot from the right point that beat Kiprusoff on the glove side with 5:19 remaining.

"They (Ducks) came out and scored right off the first shift and they kept the momentum going," said Calgary's Robyn Regehr. "We didn't do a good enough job doing the things in our zone in order to go play in their zone."

Primeau roofed a backhander up and over Giguere at 1:54 of the third, but it was not enough as Calgary dropped its sixth straight in Anaheim.

While up a man, Langkow beat Giguere high on the short side to give the Flames a 1-0 lead with 4:50 to go in the first.
