Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Daniel Sedin scored the only goal in the shootout, as the Vancouver Canucks rallied to defeat the St. Louis Blues, 3-2, at General Motors Place.

After three scoreless rounds, Sedin moved in on Manny Legace, then sold the backhand before pulling the puck back to the forehand and tucking it into the net. Roberto Luongo made a glove save on Keith Tkachuk to preserve the win.

Mattias Ohlund had two goals for the Canucks, who won for the first time when trailing after two periods (1-17-1). Henrik Sedin collected two assists and Luongo finished with 26 saves, as Vancouver snapped a season-high four-game losing streak.

"It was huge," Luongo said, referring to the win. "It's been a rough week, and we definitely don't want to end on a losing note heading into the (all-star) break."

D.J. King and Brad Boyes tallied for the Blues, who have been outscored 30-15 during their season-high six-game slide. Legace made 28 saves.

"Roberto played unbelievable in the third period when they needed him," said Legace. "He saved the game for them."

Early in the third, St. Louis' Jay McKee was sent to the box for holding and Vancouver capitalized on the man-advantage, knotting the game at two.

Ohlund took a slap pass from Sedin, skated to the bottom of the left circle and wristed the puck behind Legace, who misread the play and was caught out of position.

With under five minutes remaining in the frame, Vancouver's Markus Naslund and Sami Salo were called for penalties 1:24 apart, but St. Louis failed to score on the power play and the game went to overtime.

The teams traded goals in the opening period. King's backhander put the Blues on the board with 8:02 remaining, but Ohlund pulled the Canucks even in the late stages of the frame.

While on the power play, Ohlund snapped a quick shot from the high slot over the right shoulder of Legace with 1:39 left.

St. Louis opened the middle stanza on the power play after Vancouver's Jason Jaffray was whistled for hooking in the dying seconds of the first.

On a broken play, Paul Kariya's intended pass eluded Andy McDonald between the circles and went right to the stick of Boyes, positioned in the left circle. Boyes then fired a shot just inside the far post to give the Blues a 2-1 lead at the 1:16 mark.
