Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Miikka Kiprusoff made 23 saves as the Calgary Flames held off the Minnesota Wild, 2-1, at Pengrowth Saddledome.

Stephane Yelle had a goal and an assist while Craig Conroy also scored for the Flames, who have won three in a row.

"It was nice to score the game winner," said Conroy. "It's nice to go into the break with a win and it will be good to have these next several days off. Hopefully when we come back from the break we can keep the momentum going."

Brian Rolston scored the lone goal and Josh Harding made 35 saves for the Wild, who have dropped three of their last four games.

"They got the win and we didn't," said Rolston. "Neither of the power plays were good tonight. It was a tight game and that is what we expected. It was the one play that lost it for us."

With the score tied at a goal apiece in the third period, Calgary took the lead at the 8:36 mark. Yelle stripped a Minnesota player of the puck at the right point and got the disc to Owen Nolan, who tipped it over to Conroy and Conroy wristed a backhander into the right corner of the net for his eighth goal of the season.

Minnesota pulled Harding from the net with under a minute to play, but were unable to net the equalizer.

Minnesota grabbed the lead just 3:31 in as Rolston's slap shot from the slot beat Kiprusoff for his 16th goal of the season.

Harding stopped 10 shots in the first period to keep Calgary off the board.

The Flames evened the score 2:12 into the second period. Matthew Lombardi sent a backhand pass from the right side of the net to the slot where Yelle one- timed it over the glove of Harding.

Calgary only allowed four shots from Minnesota in the second period, all of which Kiprusoff turned aside.
