(2) Pittsburgh Penguins (3-0) at (6) Philadelphia Flyers (0-3), 7:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins will try to clinch a berth in the Stanley Cup finals tonight, when they aim for a sweep of the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals at the Wachovia Center.

The second-seeded Penguins, champions of the Atlantic Division, have grabbed a 3-0 edge in the series dubbed as the "Battle of Pennsylvania" by posting a pair of 4-2 victories on their home ice in Games 1 and 2 and defeating the Flyers in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Pittsburgh will now try to end the series in Philly and reach the Stanley Cup finals for the first time since winning the second of back-to-back championships in 1992.

The Penguins won Tuesday's Game 3 at the Wachovia Center by a 4-1 count as Marian Hossa scored twice to lift Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is now 11-1 overall in this postseason and has won 22 of its last 28 games dating back to the regular season. The 1982-83 Edmonton Oilers were the last club to begin the playoffs at 11-1, but they were eventually swept by the New York Islanders in the finals.

Ryan Whitney and Ryan Malone also lit the lamp for the Penguins. Sidney Crosby added a pair of assists to share the NHL playoff scoring lead with 19 points, while Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 17-of-18 shots to record the win.

R.J. Umberger tallied for the Flyers, who are facing an 0-3 series deficit for the first time since falling to the Detroit Red Wings in a four-game Cup finals sweep in 1997.

Martin Biron surrendered three goals on 24 shots.

In order to reach the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1997, the sixth- seeded Flyers will have to be just the third team in NHL history to erase an 0-3 series deficit to win a series. The New York Islanders achieved the feat in the 1975 quarterfinals against the Penguins and the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs recovered from an 0-3 hole to defeat Detroit in the Stanley Cup finals.

The Flyers, who were 21-14-6 as the home club during the regular season, is 4-2 at home this postseason.

Pittsburgh was 21-17-3 as the visiting team during the regular season and 4-1 on the road in this year's playoffs.

If necessary, Game 5 of this series will take place Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh, where the Penguins are 7-0 this postseason.

The Penguins swept Ottawa in the opening round and defeated the New York Rangers in five games during the conference semifinals.

The Flyers are in the conference finals for the first time since 2004 after outlasting Washington in seven games in the opening round and then beating top-seeded Montreal in five games.

Philadelphia was already playing without star defenseman Kimmo Timonen, who is out for the entire series with a blood clot, and also missed blueliner Braydon Coburn in Game 3. Coburn was hit near the eye with a puck in Game 2 and needed over 50 stitches to close the gash. The 23-year-old Coburn, who has six assists and is a plus-four in this postseason, could return for tonight's test.

Prior to the injuries, Coburn and Timonen made up Philadelphia's top defensive pairing and the players were the top-two Flyers in terms of average ice time per game.

The Flyers won the season series against Pittsburgh, 5-3, but Philadelphia posted four of those victories prior to the All-Star break, before the Penguins really started to click.

The Penguins then won three straight in the series before Philadelphia posted a 2-0 victory on the final day of the regular season.

The Flyers are 3-0 all-time in playoff series against the Penguins with the most recent meeting coming in the 2000 conference semifinals. Philadelphia also fell behind 0-2 in that series, but won the final four outings, including a memorable five-overtime matchup in Game 3.
