Detroit Red Wings (48-20-6) at Nashville Predators (36-30-8), 8 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Detroit Red Wings continue their march towards the Presidents' Trophy tonight, as they visit the Nashville Predators and the Sommet Center.

Detroit snapped a two-game losing streak on Wednesday with a 3-1 win over Columbus. Henrik Zetterberg registered a natural hat trick in the third period to give him 39 goals on the season, matching his career high set in 2005-06. It marked his third career hat trick.

Chris Osgood stopped 22-of-23 shots for the Red Wings, while Johan Franzen had a seven-game point streak (8 goals, 3 assists) halted. Franzen leads the Red Wings with four goals against Nashville this year.

Detroit has lost four of its last five on the road and begin a three-game road trip tonight. The Red Wings are 22-11-4 as the visiting team this year.

Nashville continues a four-game homestand tonight and has lost four of its last five overall. The Predators have also dropped five in a row at home after Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Washington.

J.P. Dumont and Jason Arnott scored for Nashville, which is four points behind Vancouver, Calgary and Colorado for the eighth playoff spot in the Western Conference. For Arnott, he extended his point streak to five games, totaling two goals and three assists in that span.

Goaltender Dan Ellis started for the Predators but was pulled after he allowed three goals on eight shots in 14-plus minutes of action. Chris Mason stopped all 12 shots he faced in relief.

Nashville was without David Legwand (15 goals, 29 assists) for a fifth straight game, as he continues to be sidelined with a bruised foot.

The Predators are 20-13-4 as the home team this year.

Martin Erat leads the Predators with three goals and four assists against Detroit this year, as Nashville and the Red Wings have split six games this season. Arnott has a goal and five assists against Detroit.

The Red Wings have won seven of 10 and eight of their last 12 versus the Predators, but have lost five of their last eight in Nashville.
