St. Louis Blues (29-31-11) at Anaheim Ducks (40-25-8), 10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Anaheim Ducks will try to extend their franchise-record home winning streak tonight, as they play host to the St. Louis Blues at the Honda Center.

The Ducks haven't lost on home ice since February 15 against Dallas and have rattled off eight straight victories as the host since. Anaheim now has a 24-8-4 mark as the host this season.

The Ducks extended their run as the home club on Wednesday, downing Vancouver 4-1. Travis Moen and Todd Marchant registered a goal and an assist each in the victory.

Rob Niedermayer and Doug Weight also scored, while Jonas Hiller stopped 30- of-31 shots to pick up the win. Hiller also notched an assist on Marchant's goal for his first career NHL point.

The Ducks, who have won eight of 11 and 13 of their last 17 overall, currently sit third in the Pacific Division, two points back of front-running San Jose. Anaheim also trails Dallas by a point for the fourth spot in the West.

Anaheim has a big test against the Stars on the horizon, as the team plays in Dallas on Wednesday to kick off a three-game road trip.

The Ducks were without leading goal-scorer Corey Perry (29 goals) for a third game on Wednesday due to right quad tendon surgery that is expected to sideline him for six weeks.

The Blues have lost their last five games to fall to 14th in the Western Conference, 11 points out of the eighth playoff spot with 11 games to play.

St. Louis' skid continued last night, as Milan Michalek registered a goal and an assist for the red-hot San Jose Sharks, who extended their franchise-record winning streak to 11 games with a 4-1 decision over the floundering Blues.

David Backes scored the only goal for the Blues, who have dropped 11 of their last 12 games overall. Hannu Toivonen was roughed up for four goals on 27 shots.

St. Louis has lost nine straight on the road, including the first five tests of their current season-long nine-game swing. The Blues have fallen to 10-18-6 as the visitor and still visit Montreal, Ottawa and Chicago on the trek.

The Ducks and Blues will meet for the fourth and final time this season tonight. St. Louis is 2-0-1 versus Anaheim this year, and though it has won three of the last five in the series, the Ducks have bested the Blues in seven of the past 10 matchups.

St. Louis is also 1-6-1 with a tie in its last nine trips to Anaheim.
