San Jose Sharks (25-12-6) at Anaheim Ducks (23-17-6), 8 p.m.

(Sports Network) - A Pacific Division battle is on tap tonight in Southern California, as the defending Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks welcome the San Jose Sharks to the Honda Center.

San Jose is currently leading the Pacific with 56 points, but is just one ahead of Dallas and four points in front of the Ducks.

Anaheim is 4-0-1 against the Sharks this season and two of those wins came by way of a shootout. The Ducks have won six of the last eight tests in the series, but San Jose has taken three of its previous five games in Anaheim.

The Sharks were in action on Saturday and notched a comeback win over the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs. Patrick Marleau posted a goal and an assist, as San Jose scored three times in the third period to down the Leafs, 3-2, at HP Pavilion.

Craig Rivet and Joe Pavelski also scored, and Joe Thornton added two assists for the Sharks, who have won three in a row and concluded a four-game homestand with a 3-0-1 record. Evgeni Nabokov stopped 23-of-25 shots to earn the win.

The Sharks have an amazing 16-3-2 record as the visiting team this year and have won a franchise-record 10 straight road games. San Jose also has gone 13 games without losing in regulation on the road, and is 12-0-1 in that stretch.

Meanwhile, the Ducks have won two straight and four of their last five contests and are 8-2-1 in their last 11 games.

Anaheim's most recent triumph came in impressive fashion on Wednesday, as the Ducks slammed the visiting Maple Leafs by a 5-0 count. Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 28 saves, while Corey Perry and Todd Bertuzzi each had three-point nights for the Ducks.

Perry and Bertuzzi each registered a goal and two assists for the Ducks, who don't have a regulation loss in their last five games (4-0-1). Doug Weight also tallied and had a helper in the victory.

Ryan Getzlaf also posted an assist in the win and has recorded four goals and eight assists during his nine-game point streak, which is tied for the longest current stretch in the NHL.

Getzlaf was named as a reserve to the All-Star Game earlier this week along with Ducks defenseman Chris Pronger.

Tonight's test marks the third segment of a four-game homestand for the Ducks, who are 14-6-4 as the host this season.
