NCAA Game Summary - Miami-Florida at Florida State

Tallahassee, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Hurricanes scored two last minute touchdowns to post a thrilling come from behind, 37-29 victory over the Florida State Seminoles in an ACC battle at Doak S. Campbell Stadium.

Graig Cooper led the ground game for Miami (5-3, 2-2 ACC) with 80 yards and one touchdown, while Javarris James added 73 yards on 20 attempts. Kirby Freeman and Kyle Wright both saw time under center, as Freeman threw for just 59 yards and one score to go along with two interceptions. As for Wright, he only completed 6-of-10 passes for 88 yards.

As for the Seminoles (4-3, 1-3), they were led by Antone Smith who rushed for 114 yards on 22 totes. Xavier Lee completed just 14-of-32 passes in the loss, throwing for just 208 yards and two interceptions.

The Seminoles opened the scoring with a 23-yard field goal by Gary Cismesia midway through the first quarter.

The Hurricanes answered back instantly when Wright crossed the goal line on a one-yard run.

After a turnover by FSU the Hurricanes used one play, a two-yard touchdown run by Cooper, pushing Miami's lead to 14-3.

With just seconds remaining in the opening quarter the Seminoles cut their deficit to just 14-10 when Lee scampered for a six-yard touchdown run.

Less than two minutes into the second stanza the Seminoles took a 17-14 lead thanks to a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown by Toddrick Verdell.

The Hurricanes evened the score at 17 apiece when Daren Daly nailed a 44-yard field goal late in the second quarter.

Unfortunately for Miami, Cismesia connected on a 31-yard kick for FSU in the final seconds of the half, sending the Hurricanes into the locker room down, 20-17.

Seconds into the third quarter the Seminoles pushed their lead to 23-17 when Cismesia split the uprights on a 33-yard kick.

Midway through the quarter, Francesco Zampogna connected with DajLeon Farr for a 26-yard scoring strike, giving the Hurricanes a 24-23 edge.

A 45-yard field goal by Cismesia late in the third quarter put the Seminoles back on top, 26-24.

Seconds into the fourth frame Cismesia nailed another 45-yard kick, pushing FSU's lead to 29-24.

With just 75 seconds remaining in the contest Freeman hit Dedrick Epps with a 13-yard touchdown pass, but a failed two-point conversion left the score at 30-29 in favor of Miami.

Just seconds later Colin McCarthy returned a fumbled 27 yards for Miami, bringing the score to 37-29.
