NCAA Game Summary - Arkansas at Ole Miss

Final Score: Arkansas 44 - Ole Miss 8

Oxford, MS (Sports Network) - The dynamic running duo of Darren McFadden and Felix Jones combined for 220 rushing yards and two touchdowns as Arkansas wiped the floor with the Ole Miss Rebels 44-8 in SEC action at Vaught- Hemingway Stadium.

Putting last week's disappointing loss behind them, the Razorbacks (4-3, 1-3 SEC) rode their talented backfield early and often. Heisman hopeful McFadden carried the ball 22 times for 110 yards, while Jones proved his worth with 101 yards and two touchdowns. In limited action, quarterback Casey Dick made the most of his eleven completions by throwing for three touchdowns, two connecting with Andrew Davie.

Ole Miss (2-6, 0-5) remains the only SEC team without a win in conference play. Quarterback Seth Adams was pulled in the third quarter after throwing his fourth interception. He finished the day 9-of-21 for a meager 79 yards. A few bright spots for the Rebels were running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, running for a team-high 84 yards on just 15 carries, and Mike Wallace, who accounted for the only Rebel touchdown late in the contest and had 57 receiving yards.

Jones showed in the first quarter why he should be talked about just as highly as his backfield teammate, McFadden, by running for touchdowns of 38 and 11 yards.

Dick's one-yard hookup with Davie was the lone score in the second quarter, as Arkansas held a commanding 21-0 lead.

Dick's second touchdown came late in the third as he connected with Peyton Hillis for a 9-yard touchdown pass.

In the fourth, a 32-yard field goal from Alex Tejada, and the second touchdown combination of Dick to Davie, a 14-yard strike, gave the Razorbacks an insurmountable 37-0 advantage.

The lone touchdown for the Rebels came when Brent Schaeffer caught Wallace on a 37-yard touchdown toss.

A rather unnecessary 48-yard touchdown pass from Arkansas replacement quarterback Nathan Emert to Chris Baker added insult to the Rebels' disappointing defeat.

The game marked the fifth time this season backfield superstars McFadden and Jones both rushed for 100 yards in the same contest.
