The Chippewas extended their lead to 14-0 in the final minute of the first quarter, on a nine-yard touchdown run from Antonio Brown.

The Cardinals got on the board when Dante Love returned the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a score.

LeFevour made it a 21-7 game early in the second quarter, when he found Antonio Brown for a 21-yard touchdown pass, his first of the day.

Ball State fired back midway through the quarter, when Frank Edmonds powered his way in from five yards out to cut the CMU lead to seven points.

LeFevour wasted no time, leading the Chippewas on a seven play, 80 yard drive, capped off by a two-yard touchdown toss to Taylor Bradley.

The Cardinals closed out the first half with a 26-yard field goal by Jake Hogue, as they entered the locker room trailing, 28-17.

CMU opened up the third quarter with a 39-yard touchdown pass from LeFevour to Anderson.

Those two hooked up again at the 9:39 mark of the third quarter, this time from 24 yards out, to make the score 41-17.

The Chippewas added a 51-yard field goal from Andrew Aguila late in the third quarter.

Ball State got back on the board two minutes later, when Koreen Burch scored from the one-yard line.

But CMU answered yet again, with LeFevour this time hitting Carl Volny for a six-yard score.

The Cardinals scored again early in the fourth quarter, when Davis hooked up with Darius Hill for a 22-yard touchdown.

Not to be outdone, LeFevour finished off the Chippewas' scoring with a one- yard run to give CMU a 58-31 cushion.

The Cardinals added an eight-yard score from Tanner Justice in the final seconds of the game, before accepting the 20-point defeat.
