Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - Dantrell Savage, Zac Robinson and Kendall Hunter ran for a combined 359 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Oklahoma State Cowboys to a 49-45 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a Big 12 matchup from Boone Pickens Stadium.
Savage rushed for 130 yards and a score in the Oklahoma State (2-2, 1-0 Big 12) victory, while Robinson gained 116 yards on the ground and twice found the end zone, in addition to 211 yards and two scores through the air. Hunter ran for 114 yards and a touchdown of his own for the Cowboys.
Graham Harrell and the Red Raiders (3-1, 0-1) took the loss despite Harrell completing 46-of-67 passes for 646 yards and five touchdowns. Michael Crabtree hauled in 14 passes for 237 yards and three scores, and Danny Amendola added 14 catches of his own for 233 yards and a touchdown.
Harrell found Crabtree on the Red Raiders opening drive on a nine-yard strike that gave Texas Tech an early 7-0 advantage.
Oklahoma State responded on its next possession, as Savage rushed for a four- yard score that knotted things up at seven apiece.
Late in the frame, the Red Raiders capped an eight play, 80-yard drive with a six-yard dash by Shannon Woods to recapture the lead, 14-7.
Early in the second quarter, the Cowboys tied the contest again, as Robinson completed a five-yard touchdown pass to Dez Bryant.
Just minutes later, Oklahoma State regained the lead, as Hunter broke free for a 46-yard run.
Texas Tech responded midway through the period, tying the contest at 21 apiece on a two-yard strike from Harrell to Crabtree.
The Cowboys regained the lead minutes before halftime on a 48-yard run by Robinson.
Texas Tech responded immediately, knotting the contest up once more on Harrell's third touchdown pass of the afternoon, a 12-yard connection to Eric Morris.
In the closing seconds of the half, Harrell and Crabtree hooked up once more, a two-yard strike that gave Texas Tech a 35-28 lead.
In the closing minutes of the third quarter, Oklahoma State evened the score at 35-35 on a three-yard touchdown run by Robinson.
Seth Newton gave Oklahoma State a 42-35 lead early in the fourth quarter on a 33-yard completion to Jeremy Broadway.
Texas Tech tied things up yet again less than a minute later, as Harell connected on his fifth touchdown pass of the day, a 41-yard strike to Danny Amendola.
The Red Raiders took a 45-42 lead late in the period on a 19-yard field goal by Alex Trlica.
With under two minutes remaining, Oklahoma State took a 49-45 lead on a 54- yard touchdown pass from Robinson to Brandon Pettigrew for the games final score.
