Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Jesse Lumsden carried the ball 20 times for 189 yards and two scores as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats got their first road win at Toronto since 2001 with a 32-13 romp over the Argonauts.
Casey Printers went 16-for-23 with 171 yards with a pair of rushing touchdowns while Lyle Smith added 75 yards on the ground for the Tiger-Cats (1-1), who had lost nine straight against Toronto and got their first win on the road since September 26, 2006.
Kerry Joseph went 20-for-31 with 196 yards and a rushing touchdown and Arland Bruce had five receptions for 64 yards for the Argonauts (1-1), who had an eight-game winning streak going back to last season stopped.
The Argonauts gained the lead with 4:33 left in the first quarter as Mike Vanderjagt booted a 50-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead.
The Tiger-Cats, though, took the lead on a four-yard touchdown run from Printers and had a 7-3 advantage with 9:34 left in the first half.
Toronto answered on its ensuing possession with a six-play, 52-yard drive capped with a 27-yard field goal from Vanderjagt to make it a one-point game with 6:35 to play in the second quarter.
However, Hamilton marched the length of the field on its next touch and capped the 11-play, 70-yard drive on a one-yard touchdown run from Printers and took a 14-6 lead into the locker room.
The Tiger-Cats wasted no time extending their lead in the third as they took the opening kickoff 75 yards in six plays and took a 21-6 lead on a five-yard touchdown run by Lumsden just 3:42 in.
Toronto came back with a scoring drive that ate up almost seven minutes and made it a 21-13 game on Joseph's eight-yard touchdown run with 4:19 left in the third.
A single towards the end of the third quarter and an 18-yard field goal by Nick Setta staked Hamilton to 25-13 lead less than a minute into the fourth quarter.
A 57-yard touchdown run by Lumsden with 3:41 to play sealed the win for Hamilton.
