Oxford, MS (Sports Network) - Chris Warren scored a game-high 25 points and dished out eight assists, as the Ole Miss Rebels fought their way to a 91-88 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in SEC action at Tad Smith Coliseum.
Dwayne Curtis added 24 points and nine rebounds for the Rebels (19-9, 5-9 SEC), who snapped a two-game losing streak with the victory. David Huertas also got involved, scoring a career-high 18 points, while Kenny Williams chipped in with 13.
Alabama (15-14, 4-10) was led by Mykal Riley, who scored 20 points on just 6- of-16 shooting from the floor. Demetrius Jemison also added 17 points for the Crimson Tide, while Rico Pickett and Senario Hillman chipped in with 13 points apiece. Richard Hendrix contributed 10 points in the loss.
Both teams shot the ball well in the first half, and went into the locker room tied at 38-38.
But the Rebels controlled the second stanza, shooting 75 percent from the field, including 6-of-7 from the perimeter, on their way to a three-point win.
Ole Miss dominated Alabama in the post, outscoring the Crimson Tide, 44-30 in the paint.
