Danny Brown also posted 14 points for St. Louis (13-10, 4-5 A-10), while Tommie Liddell III and Barry Eberhardt contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Dan Geriot netted 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Richmond (12-10, 5-4), while David Gonzalvez chipped in 17 points in the loss.
The Billikens held Richmond to a meager 25.9 percent shooting effort from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 28-21 lead.
In the second stanza, Saint Louis used a 16-of-19 clip from the foul line en route to the nine-point win.
The Billikens' bench tallied 26 points in the contest, while Richmond's reserves posted only seven points.
