NCAA Game Summary - Marist at Saint Peter's
Jersey City, NJ (Sports Network) - Ryan Schneider scored 17 points off the bench to lead the Marist Red Foxes to a 69-61 victory over the Saint Peter's Peacocks in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tilt at the Yanitelli Center.
Ben Farmer added 13 points for Marist (15-10, 9-5 MAAC), while David Devezin contributed 11 points to go along with eight assists. Ryan Stilphen and Spongy Benjamin both chipped in 10 points apiece in the win.
Todd Sowell netted a double-double for Saint Peter's (5-19, 2-12), scoring 15 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Nick Leon posted 14 points for the Peacocks, who have dropped 10 of their last 11 games.
The Peacocks shot 54.2 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 34-25 lead.
The Red Foxes stormed back into the second stanza, shooting a sizzling 66.7 percent from the floor en route to the eight-point win.
Marist made 8-of-18 attempts from behind the arc in the contest, while Saint Peter's connected on only 4-of-14 three-point shots.
