Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Nkem Ojougboh scored a game-high 15 points as the Northeastern Huskies captured a 51-42 win over the Tribe of William & Mary in Colonial Athletic Association action at Matthews Arena.
Also scoring in double figures for the Huskies (11-12, 7-6 CAA) as they won their fourth in a row was Matt Janning with 10 points, despite shooting only 3- of-11 from the floor.
The Tribe (13-10, 9-4) saw Nathan Mann tally a team-best 12 points, but he knocked down just 3-of-12 field goal attempts as the squad had a three-game win streak halted. Peter Stein chipped in a game-high 11 rebounds in the setback.
William & Mary had trouble getting the offense moving in the first half, shooting just 6-of-25 from the floor and 2-of-9 beyond the arc, en route to a 25-15 deficit at the break.
In the second half the Tribe continued to struggle with a mere eight made field goals, making it that much easier for the Huskies to take the nine-point decision at home.
Northeastern picked up the victory despite shooting only 41.5 percent from the field and 5-of-16 out on the perimeter.
