NCAA Game Summary - Penn at Columbia

Final Score: Penn 58 - Columbia 74

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Niko Scott scored a game-high 19 points as the Columbia Lions defeated the Penn Quakers, 74-58, in Ivy League action at Levien Gym.

Also scoring in double figures for the Lions (9-11, 2-3 Ivy) were John Baumann and K.J. Matsui with 18 and 17 points, respectively, as the team won for the second time in the last three outings.

The Quakers (7-13, 2-1) were led by Brian Grandieri and his 13 points and six rebounds as the squad had a brief two-game win streak halted.

Columbia scored the first points of the game and never looked back, shooting 51.9 percent from the field in the first half, including 7-of-14 behind the three-point line, en route to a 38-29 advantage at the break.

In the second half Penn made just 1-of-6 shots beyond the arc and 34.5 percent from the floor as the Lions walked away with the 16-point triumph.

The Lions turned the ball over 17 times on the night, but made up for it with a solid 11-of-19 effort out on the perimeter, compared to a mere 2-of-11 for the Quakers.
