Statesboro, GA (Sports Network) - Brandon Giles totaled 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists to lead the Georgia Southern Eagles to a 72-63 win over the Western Carolina Catamounts in a Southern Conference showdown at Hanner Fieldhouse.
The Catamounts (7-16, 3-10 SoCon) also received 14 points from Arnold Gore, while Brigham Waginger added 12 points off the bench.
Georgia Southern (16-8, 9-5) was paced by Louis Graham, who tallied 18 points and nine rebounds in the loss. Antoine Johnson also chipped in with 16 points, while Julian Allen added 13 points.
