Charlottesville, VA (Sports Network) - K.C. Rivers scored a career-high 32 points to lead the Clemson Tigers to an 82-51 win over the Virginia Cavaliers in an ACC clash at John Paul Jones Arena.
Rivers received plenty of help from his supporting cast as Cliff Hammonds tallied 16 points and 11 assists, while Terrence Oglesby added 14 points for the Tigers (17-5, 5-3 ACC). David Potter also got involved scoring 10 points in the win.
Virginia (11-10, 1-7) was paced by Adrian Joseph's 19 points, while Sean Singletary added 14 points in the loss.
The Tigers got off to a fast start, shooting 8-of-14 from three point range in the first half to take a 40-24 lead at the break.
Clemson continued to dominate in the second half, shooting 59.3 percent from the floor en route to a 32-point win.
Three-point shooting proved to be the difference, as Clemson outscored Virginia 48-12 from long distance.
