NCAA Game Summary - Ohio University at Eastern Michigan
Ypsilanti, MI (Sports Network) - Jarred Axon posted a game-high 18 points to lead the Ohio University Bobcats to a 63-56 victory over the Eastern Michigan Eagles in a Mid-American Conference tussle at the Convocation Center.
Carlos Medlock added 13 points and collected six rebounds in the EMU (8-13, 4-5 MAC) win, while Jesse Bunkley netted 12 points for the Eagles.
No Bobcats (15-7, 6-3) player scored in double figures, although Leon Williams, Justin Orr and Bubba Walther each tallied nine points in a losing effort.
OU was held to a miserable 29.2-percent shooting from the floor in the first half, as EMU jumped out to a 26-21 lead at the break.
The Eagles shot just 42.1 percent from the field during the second frame, but added a 15-of-21 effort from the charity stripe to take the seven-point victory.
The Bobcats shot just 34.7 percent from the floor, including 7-of-26 from long range in the loss.
