Chestnut Hill, MA (Sports Network) - Greivis Vasquez tallied 25 points and eight assists, both game-highs, as the Maryland Terrapins notched a 70-65 road win over ACC-foe Boston College.

James Gist also had a solid game for Maryland (15-8, 5-3 ACC), finishing with 23 points and seven rebounds. The Terps have now won three straight, and five of their last six. Head coach Gary Williams joined the 600-win club with the outcome tonight. In his 30th season overall and 19th at Maryland, Williams now owns a career record of 600-336.

The Eagles (12-9, 3-5) were led by forward John Oates, who shot 8-of-8 from the field (5-of-5 from three-point range) and finished with 21 points. Tyrese Rice chipped in with 13 points and seven assists in a losing effort.

It was a nip-and-tuck first half, though it was Maryland clinging to a 36-34 halftime lead thanks to a 6-of-11 effort from the perimeter.

The Terps kept the pressure on in the second stanza, shooting a sizzling 60.9 percent from the field en route to the five-point victory. They led by as many as 10 with 6:40 to play.

The game featured 10 lead changes, though Maryland got a boost from its interior scoring, as the Terps outscored the Eagles, 26-16 in the paint.
