Winstom-Salem, NC (Sports Network) - Georgia Tech's Anthony Morrow led all scorers with 23 points, as the Yellow Jackets notched an 89-83 ACC victory at Wake Forest.
Maurice Miller chipped in with 11 points for Georgia Tech (11-10, 4-4 ACC), while reserves Zack Peacock (15 points), Alade Aminu (11 points) and Lewis Clinch (10 points) combined for 36 points.
Jeff Teague paced the Demon Deacons (13-8, 3-5) with 19 points, while Harvey Hale chipped in with 18, and James Johnson finished with 13.
Wake Forest wasted no time in the first half, knocking down 7-of-13 three- pointers to grab a 45-37 halftime lead. The Demon Deacons led by as many as 13 with 1:08 to play in the half.
But the Yellow Jackets answered in the second stanza, behind an impressive 19- of-32 (59.4 percent) shooting effort from the floor.
The trio of Tech reserves was the difference, as they outscored the Wake Forest reserves, 36-19 for the game.
