Carbondale, IL (Sports Network) - Bryan Mullins scored 22 points to lead the Southern Illinois Salukis to an 80-69 victory over the Indiana State Sycamores in Missouri Valley Conference action at the SIU Arena.
Randal Falker added 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for SIU (12-11, 7-5 MVC), while Matt Shaw and Tyrone Green contributed 11 points apiece in the win.
Marico Stinson netted 18 points for Indiana State (10-12, 5-7), while Gabe Moore tallied 15 points to go along with six assists. Jay Tunnell posted 13 points for the Sycamores, while Harry Marshall chipped in 11 points.
The Sycamores shot 45.8 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the break with a slim 35-33 lead.
The Salukis pulled away in the second stanza, shooting a sizzling 57.1 percent from the floor en route to the 11-point win.
SIU made 27-of-42 attempts from the foul line in the contest, while Indiana State connected on 16-of-24 free throw shots.
