Dwain Williams added 20 points for Providence (13-9, 4-6 BigEast), while Geoff McDermott posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Draelon Burns netted 17 points for DePaul (9-13, 4-6), while Will Walker and Wesley Green contributed 13 and 10 points, respectively.
The Blue Demons only shot 41.4 percent from the field in the first half, but used a 9-of-10 clip from the foul line to go into the break with a 35-28 lead.
The Friars stormed back in the second stanza, netting a staggering 65.4 percent of their attempts from the floor en route to the 14-point win.
