DeKalb, IL (Sports Network) - Andy Robinson poured in 35 points to lead the Buffalo Bulls to an 89-81 victory over the Northern Illinois Huskies in a Mid- American Conference battle at the NIU Convocation Center.
Robinson connected on an impressive 8-of-10 attempts from behind the arc in the victory for Buffalo (7-14, 1-8 MAC). Max Boudreau added 14 points for the Bulls, while Calvin Betts tallied 11 points. Byron Mulkey and Sean Smiley both contributed 10 points apiece for Buffalo, which snapped a nine-game losing skid.
Jarvis Nichols posted 22 points for NIU (5-16, 2-7), while Shaun Logan and Darion Anderson chipped in 16 and 13 points, respectively.
Buffalo shot 52.8 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a strong, 46-35 advantage.
In the second stanza, the Bulls held NIU to a mere 37.8 percent shooting effort from the floor en route to the eight-point win.
This matchup was filled with mistakes, as the Huskies forced Buffalo into a whopping 29 turnovers, while the Bulls forced NIU into 21 miscues.
