Statesboro, GA (Sports Network) - Louis Graham scored a game-high 25 points as the Georgia Southern Eagles slipped by UNC Greensboro, 80-78, in Southern Conference action at Hanner Fieldhouse.

Matthew Fields added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles (15-8, 8-5 SoCon) as they won for the third time in four tries. Willie Powers contributed 11 points and Antoine Johnson 10, while Dwayne Foreman finished with a game- high nine assists to establish a new school career assist record.

The Spartans (13-7, 7-4) were paced by Kevin Oleksiak with 20 points, eight assists and five rebounds, while Kyle Hines tacked on 19 points, nine rebounds and five blocked shots. Hitting 5-of-8 behind the three-point line, Mikko Koivisto accounted for 17 points as the squad had a four-game win streak snapped.

A tight game throughout, UNCG led by as many as four points in the first half on 54.8 percent shooting from the field, yet a perfect 6-of-6 at the free-throw line for the Eagles in the frame provided them with a slim 44-42 edge at the break.

In the second half the Spartans knocked down a sizzling 60.9 percent from the floor, but that still wasn't enough to keep GSU from capturing the two-point decision.

Greensboro converted 57.4 percent from the field on the night, but the squad made good on only 7-of-15 at the free-throw line in a game that saw 12 ties and 16 lead changes.
