Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Shawn Deadwiler and Tim Diederichs each scored 18 points as the Loyola Marymount Lions posted a 72-67 win over the San Francisco Dons in West Coast Conference action at Gersten Pavilion.

Also scoring in double figures for the Lions (5-18, 2-5 WCC), as they snapped a four-game slide, were Orlando Johnson and Corey Counts with 11 points apiece, with the latter also handing out a game-high eight assists.

The Dons (6-16, 2-5), losers of four of the last five, were paced by Dior Lowhorn with a double-double of 20 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, while Manny Quezada contributed 20 points, seven boards and six assists. Although he shot just 2-of-10 from the field, Danny Cavic contributed 10 points as well.

USF shot just 35.7 percent from the field in the first half, including 2-of-10 behind the three-point line, yet still led by a point at the break, 35-34.

In the second half the Dons were limited to only 10 field goals, while LMU locked up the five-point win by converting 13-of-16 at the free-throw line after the intermission.

In a game that saw four ties and eight lead changes, San Francisco turned the ball over 16 times and made just 6-of-18 shots out on the perimeter.
