NCAA Game Summary - Marist at Siena
Albany, NY (Sports Network) - Alex Franklin scored a game-high 20 points as the Siena Saints recorded a 76-72 win over the Marist Red Foxes in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at the Times Union Center.
Edwin Ubiles added 15 points for the Saints (14-8, 9-3 MAAC) as they won for the second time in the last three outings. Tay Fisher tacked on 14 points and Kenny Hasbrouck 10.
Marist (14-9, 8-4) was led by David Devezin, Jay Gavin and Ryan Schneider with 15 points apiece in the team's second straight setback.
The Red Foxes shot 48 percent from the field in the first half, including 5- of-9 beyond the arc, yet still trailed at the break, 37-34.
In the second half Siena left the door open with just 10-of-18 shooting at the free-throw line, but managed to stay ahead with a 50 percent effort from the field and 5-of-6 behind the three-point line.
The Saints finished the night hitting 58.3 percent out on the perimeter and outscored the visitors at the charity stripe, 21-13.
