Kellen Williams posted 21 points in the setback for Eastern Washington (8-16, 3-7), while teammate Brandon Moore managed 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Eastern Washington held a 26-24 lead at intermission after hitting all six of its foul shots in the first half.
The Grizzlies led 59-53 with 26 seconds remaining, and while the Eagles made things interesting with four late points, Montana held on for the win.
Strong defense was key to the victory for Montana, as it limited Eastern Washington to 37.7 percent shooting from the floor.
