Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Michael Tuck scored 20 points to lead the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds to a 74-62 victory over the Canisius Golden Griffins in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.
Gerald Brown was close behind offensively with 18 points for Loyola-Maryland (13-10, 8-3 MAAC). Marquis Sullivan added 15 points for the winners.
Tomas Vazquez Simmons scored 15 points in the loss for Canisius (4-18, 2-10), which got 14 points from Elton Frazier.
Loyola-Maryland led 37-30 at intermission, and the key in that opening stanza was four consecutive three-pointers by Sullivan.
In the final minute-and-a-half of the contest, the Greyhounds managed to hit all six of their free throws to seal the victory.
Tuck, who connected on 10-of-15 field goal attempts, has posted 20 or more points in four of the last five outings. His Greyhounds have won their last six outings.
