NCAA Game Summary - George Washington at Temple
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Mark Tyndale netted 21 points, including 19 in the second half, to lead the Temple Owls to a 93-80 victory over the George Washington Colonials in Atlantic 10 Conference action.
Dionte Christmas also registered 21 points for Temple (11-9, 4-2 A-10), while Lavoy Allen and Chris Clark established new career scoring highs with 19 and 17 points, respectively.
Maureece Rice poured in a game-high 22 points in the setback for George Washington (5-12, 1-6), which had its losing skid extended to six games. The Colonials also got 19 points from Rob Diggs, while teammate Noel Wilmore contributed a career-high 18 points.
Clark was the best player for Temple in the first, as his long range accuracy led the Owls to a 47-37 edge at intermission.
In the second half, George Washington did hold a 70-69 advantage after a 13-2 run, but the Owls answered with a 16-2 run of their own to regain control.
Temple is now 47-16 all-time against George Washington, including 18-5 at home against the Colonials.
