Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Paul Harris scored a career-high 28 points to lead the Syracuse Orange to a huge, 83-73 victory over the Villanova Wildcats in Big East Conference action at the Wachovia Center.
Jonny Flynn added 24 points for Syracuse (16-7, 6-4 BigEast), while Donte Greene contributed 17 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Kristof Ongenaet tallied 12 points in the win for the Orange.
Corey Fisher netted a team-high 21 points for Villanova (13-7, 3-6), while Scottie Reynolds posted 12 points in the loss. Casiem Drummond and Reggie Redding chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively for the Wildcats.
The Orange took a 44-39 lead into the break, thanks in large part to the team's sensational 60.0 percent shooting effort from the field in the first half.
In the second stanza, Syracuse held Villanova to a mere 34.5 percent shooting effort from the floor en route to the 10-point win.
The Orange made 28-of-39 attempts from the foul line in the contest, while Villanova connected on 14-of-18 shots from the charity stripe.
