Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Tracy Robinson and J.R. Blount scored 16 points apiece to lead the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers to a 69-68 win over the Youngstown State Penguins in Horizon League action at the Gentile Center.
The Ramblers (8-13, 4-7 HL) also received 10 points from Darrin Williams.
Youngstown State (7-14, 3-8) was paced by John Barber, who scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the loss. Dwight Holmes also added 19 points, while Byron Davis and Vance Cooksey chipped in with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
The Ramblers shot 43.8 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 31-27 lead at the break.
Loyola-Chicago kept the pressure on in the second stanza, shooting 15-of-34 from the floor en route to a one-point win.
The Ramblers stepped up their play at the defensive end of the floor, forcing YSU into 17 turnovers in the loss.
