Chattanooga, TN (Sports Network) - Kevin Bridgewaters scored 24 points to lead the Chattanooga Mocs to a 96-91 win over the Georgia Southern Eagles in Southern Conference play from McKenzie Arena.
The Mocs (14-7, 9-2 SoCon) also received 15 points from Nicchaeus Doaks, while Stephen McDowell and Kevin Goffney chipped in with 14 and 12 points, respectively.
The Eagles (14-8, 7-5) were paced by Louis Graham's 27 points. Dwayne Foreman also had a big game for GSU, totaling 23 points and seven assists, while Willie Powers added 13 points in the win.
Chattanooga got off to a fast start, shooting 16-of-26 from the floor in the first half to take a 46-35 lead at the break.
The Mocs kept the pressure on in the second stanza, shooting 53.3 percent from the floor in the second stanza en route to a five-point victory.
Foul-shooting proved to be difference in this contest, as Chattanooga outscored GSU 24-11 from the charity stripe.
