Bowling Green, KY (Sports Network) - Courtney Lee scored 18 points to lead the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers to a 71-47 win over the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans in Sun Belt Conference play at E.A. Diddle Arena.
A.J. Slaughter added 17 points off the bench for the Hilltoppers (17-5, 9-1 SBC), while Tyrone Brazelton and Orlando Mendez-Valdez chipped in with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
UALR (14-7, 6-4) was paced by De'Andre Eggins who scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the win.
Despite shooting just 37 percent from the floor in the first half, the Trojans managed to take a 27-25 lead at the break.
WKU stormed back in the second stanza, shooting 16-of-30 from the floor to cruise to a 24-point victory.
The Hilltoppers' bench was the difference in this contest, outscoring the Trojans' reserves, 35-14, in the win.
