Spartanburg, SC (Sports Network) - Corey Godzinski slammed home the winning basket with four seconds remaining in regulation to give the Wofford Terriers a thrilling, 67-66 victory over the Charleston Cougars in a Southern Conference battle at the Johnson Arena.
Godzinski led the way with 15 points for Wofford (11-8, 4-5 SoCon), while Drew Gibson added 10 points to go along with six assists.
Scott Dustin netted 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Charleston (9-11, 4-6), while Andrew Goudelock and Tony White Jr. chipped in 13 points apiece.
The Terriers shot 48.0 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a slim 31-30 advantage.
Wofford continued its strong play in the second stanza, shooting 50.0 percent from the floor en route to the thrilling one-point win.
The Terriers dominated the battle on the glass, outrebounding Charleston, 38-26.
