Fresno, CA (Sports Network) - Reggie Larry scored 27 points and collected 16 rebounds to lead the Boise State Broncos to a thrilling, 90-89 overtime victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs in a Western Athletic Conference battle at the Save Mart Center.
Tyler Tiedeman added 23 points for Boise State (15-5, 6-2 WAC), while Matt Nelson contributed 15 points.
Eddie Miller poured in 30 points for Fresno State (10-11, 3-4), while Kevin Bell netted 26 points and dished out eight assists. Hector Hernandez chipped in 16 points in the loss, and also pulled down nine boards.
The Bulldogs shot 45.7 percent from the field in the opening half and went into the break with a 40-34 advantage.
The Broncos stormed back in the second stanza, shooting a staggering 58.6 percent from the floor. However, despite the stellar offensive performance, the team still needed Bell to connect on two free throws with three seconds remaining in regulation to even the score at 80 apiece, sending the matchup into overtime.
In the extra session, the Broncos overcame a four-point deficit with just 13 seconds remaining in the contest, as Matt Bauscher netted a three-point shot, which was followed by a layup by Larry that ultimately game Boise State the one point win.
Boise State shot 50.0 percent from the field in the contest, and still grabbed a win despite connecting on just 11-of-22 attempts from the foul line.
