Bowling Green, OH (Sports Network) - Nate Miller dropped in 17 points and handed out five helpers, as the Bowling Green Falcons nipped the Northern Illinois Huskies, 63-59, in Mid-American Conference action at Anderson Arena.
Joe Jakubowski posted 14 points and four assists for the Falcons (9-9, 4-2 MAC), who won their second straight game. Chris Knight put forth 12 points and nine rebounds, while Brian Moten chipped in with 10 points in the winning cause.
Darion Anderson led the charge for the Huskies (5-13, 2-4) with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Egan Grafel notched 11 points and six boards, as Northern Illinois fell to 0-9 on the road.
The Falcons made good on 5-of-11 tries from beyond the arc and 4-of-4 at the foul line in the first half, taking a 31-27 lead to the intermission.
Bowling Green shot 44.8 percent from the floor during the final 20 minutes of play and it held on for the four-point win.
