Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Kevin Lisch's game-high 22 points catapulted Saint Louis to its first road victory of the season, as the Billikens upended the La Salle Explorers, 81-74, in an Atlantic 10 showdown at Tom Gola Arena.
Lisch also added six assists for Saint Louis (11-8, 2-3 A-10), as Luke Meyer chipped in with 18 points. Tommie Liddell III grabbed a team-high seven rebounds to go along with 11 points, while Danny Brown came off the bench to add 13 points to the winning cause.
Jerrell Williams posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, but it was not enough to pull out an Explorer (7-11, 2-3) victory. Yves Mekongo Mbala led La Salle with 18 points, and Darnell Harris contributed 13 points in the loss.
The Billikens led 38-35 at the break behind 54.8 percent shooting from the field in the first frame.
Saint Louis shot an even more impressive 73.9 percent from the floor in the final 20 minutes, and held on for the seven-point win with six free throws in the final minute of play.
The Billikens dished out 19 assists in the clash and only turned the ball over nine times.
