Leon Williams racked up 23 points and 12 rebounds for Ohio University (13-6, 4-2 MAC). Bert Whittington IV added 14 points for the Bobcats.
Anthony Newell poured in 24 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the loss for Ball State (3-15, 2-4).
The Cardinals dominated the first half and led 35-23 at intermission after shooting 56.5 percent from the floor, including 6-of-7 from three-point range.
Ohio University turned things around in the second half, as their 61.9 percent shooting from the field enabled them to come from behind and claim the victory.
The Bobcats finished the clash with a 38-26 rebounding advantage, including a 13-5 edge on the offensive boards.
