NCAA Game Summary - Wofford at Georgia Southern
Statesboro, GA (Sports Network) - Junior Salters scored 18 points to lead the Wofford Terriers to an 86-79 win over the Georgia Southern Eagles in a Southern Conference tilt at Hanner Fieldhouse.
The Terriers (10-8, 3-5 SoCon) got plenty of support from Noah Dahlman, who came off the bench to score 17 points. Drew Gibson ran the show for Wofford tallying 14 points and 12 assists, while Corey Godzinski chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds in the win.
GSU (12-7, 5-4 SoCon) was paced by Louis Graham, who scored a game-high 26 points. Dwayne Foreman and Antoine Johnson also got involved, scoring 11 points apiece.
The Eagles came out firing in the first half, shooting 6-of-12 from the three-point line to take a 36-27 lead at the break.
But Wofford stormed back in the second stanza, shooting 21-of-29 (72.4 percent) from the floor to capture the seven-point victory.
The Terriers reserves were the difference in this game, as the Wofford bench outscored the GSU bench, 33-16.
