Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Kyle Hines scored a season-high 32 points, lifting the UNC-Greensboro Spartans to an 88-71 win over the College of Charleston Cougars in Southern Conference action at Kresse Arena.
Kevin Oleksiak tallied 16 points and nine assists for the Spartans (11-6, 5-3 SoCon), who won for the first time ever at Charleston. Ben Stywall came off the bench to score 15 points, while Mikko Koivisto finished with 13. Hines has now scored in double figures a remarkable 67 games in a row.
Andrew Goudelock led Charleston (9-10, 4-5) with 17 points. Tony White Jr. added 14 points, and Donavan Monroe finished with 10.
UNCG shot an ultra-efficient 66.7 percent from the floor in the first half, including a 7-of-13 effort from beyond the arc, as the Spartans grabbed a 45-35 halftime lead.
The Spartans matched their first-half performance with an identical 66.7- percent shooting effort in the second stanza, cruising to the 17-point victory.
The Spartans did most of their damage in the paint, where they held a 44-26 scoring advantage for the game.
