Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Fueled by a 28-point effort from Stephen Curry, the Davidson Wildcats cruised to an 87-70 road win over The Citadel Bulldogs in Southern Conference action at McAlister Field House.
Andrew Lovedale notched 13 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats (12-6, 10-0 SoCon), winners of eight straight. Thomas Sander chipped in with 12 points.
For The Citadel (5-13, 0-9), Austin Dahn led the way with 19 points. Cameron Wells and Jon Brick each tallied 13 points in the loss.
Davidson came out of the gate on fire, shooting 63 percent in the first half en route to a 41-33 halftime advantage.
A 56.7-percent shooting effort in the second stanza was enough to propel the Wildcats to the 17-point victory.
Both teams committed 14 turnovers in the contest, yet Davidson enjoyed a 20-7 edge in points off turnovers.
