Wilmington, NC (Sports Network) - Daniel Fountain and T.J. Carter scored 17 points apiece to lead the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks to a 77-69 victory over the Northeastern Huskies in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup at Trask Coliseum.
Vladimir Kuljanin scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the UNC- Wilmington (12-8, 5-3 CAA) win, while Todd Hendley added 11 points.
Matt Janning poured in 21 points to lead Northeastern (7-11, 3-5), while the trio of Manny Adako, Vinny Lima and Baptiste Bataille chipped in 10 each in the losing effort.
UNC-Wilmington shot 51.9 percent from the floor during the first period, enabling the Seahawks to take a 35-25 lead into the break.
The Seahawks continued to pour it on during the second stanza, shooting at a blazing 72.2 percent clip from the field en route to the eight-point victory.
The Huskies were out-rebounded by a 29-22 margin, an obvious contributing factor in the loss.
